How and why humans are on earth remains a mystery for Scientists. One thing is certain however: we are meant to connect with each other.
Social connection is hard-wired in human behaviour and it has a profound effect on our ability to live a healthy, happy personal and professional life.
Sadly, and even though nothing is wrong with using social media to connect, the modern generations tend to be more focused on “social image”.
Our need to connect is human nature. We all do so from a young age with our carers, family members and friends and we continue seeking support and companionship in our adult years. Positive and challenging connections alike help us grow and forge our own values and differences.
Unfortunately, millions of people suffer from loneliness which often leads to poor physical and mental health. Individuals who struggle to connect with others suffer from anxiety, depression and social isolation.
