Are you in?
How do you know if you have what it takes to be part of the team?
As human beings we all need to connect with others. Connections make us feel alive and grow. They make us want to be better and achieve more. But it is not a given to be a successful team player.
Nowadays, life is more a team sport than ever before. We work with people across the globe, build relations with others in different countries and schools have never organised more “group projects”, “field trips”, “inter-school games” than what millions of young people experience today.
We all need to pause and ask ourselves if we have the three key virtues of an ideal team player. First, the hunger to succeed and get the work done, second, the humility to put others first and, finally, the emotional intelligence needed to understand other team members.
